The company Rohrlux in Loga is existing on 1st of September 2004 for 50 Years. The company Rohrlux in the industrial area of Loga can look back on 50 succesful business years. The family company which has specialised in the production of technical work and machine lights as well as in safety and ship lights, meanwhile is well-known throughout Europe due to the high-quality products.
Everything started on 1st of September 1954 in Essen. Mrs. Grete Mrotzek founded a wholesale trade of electronic devices. Basis of the company first of all was the delivery of RUHR-light fittings, the product of "grandad Korte" to the end consumer.
	Three years later the company moved from Essen to Weener. "Here were laid the foundations of the production of Rohrlux hand lamps", tells the owner and managing director, Mrs. Erika Homburg-Höngesberg. Seven employees were hired who should build up a new clientèle for the electric and car accessory wholesale.
At the end of 1959 the entrepreneur decided to move to Leer in the Arend-Smid-Strasse due to a lack of space.
	However, already after a short time, in 1962, the premises became too small and eventually the company found the property in Loga, in the Horstweg 13. Here, on a surface of 1000 m², a residential and business building were erected and completed in 1963. Already in 1968 and 1971 the next builiding expansions were necessary. So, a big office, a packaging room as well as a storage room were built on.

In 1977 these premises also became too small due to the steadily increasing receipt of orders . So, the company relocated its location to the Mühlenweg 3 in the industrial area Leer-Ost in Loga. "We were the first plant which the new industrial area was opened up with at that time" says the works manager, Mr. Gerhard Gruben. In the middle and at the end of the 80's further stock halls were built on. So, in 1989, Rohrlux had a surface of 1500 m²at its disposal .

In 1997 the company was completely renovated and the administration was rebuilt.

The last expansion of the production and stock halls for the time being was completed in 2000. At that time Rohrlux built up a new high pallet racking system on a surface of 900 m² with a storage capacity for more than 800 pallets.

This target group also reflects the product range of the company Rohrlux Hand lamps for garages Machine light fittings for the industry Halogen lights for workstations Worklights for the craft A specialty are small series for the industry which are developped in cooperation with the customer for a special application.
Meanwhile the export share within Europe accounts for 40% of the turnover, upward tendency. The company lays great stress on the fact that for manufacture and development materials and parts from regional companies are preferred. "Where Rohrlux is indicated, Rohrlux has to be in"- this is what our customers expect and the name stands for quality, flexibility and adherence to delivery times. We produce just-in-time and our guiding principle is Safety by Excellent Light", explains the works manager, Mr. Gerhard Gruben.
Since 1960 the company Rohrlux is represented at different fairs in order to show the variety of luminaires.

On 1st January 1993 Mrs. Erika Homburg-Höngesberg took over her mother's business. Today Rohrlux has around 80 employees working for the production and in the administration. Amongst them there are also 5 trainees who enjoy a training to become an industrial clerk or a storage specialist within the years to come. "We have managed all this only as team", knows the managership and thanks all employees also in this way for the long-standing and above all active support.
