From 13th August 2005 on and according to EU directive 2002/96/EU (WEEE)
all electric and electronic devices have to be marked with a 'crossed
out and wheeled bin' symbol as symbol for a separate collection. Our
hand lamps and light fittings are marked with the 'crossed out wheeled
bin' symbol.
Disposal in Germany:
According to the electric and electronic devices law (ElektroG) we make
use of the possibility of a contractual agreement for the disposal of
hand lamps and light fittings as follows:
Hand lamps and light fittings:
From 1st January 2006 on, we have appointed the company ISD, INTERSEROH
Dienstleistungs GmbH in Cologne to fulfil the the legally imposed supplier's
disposal obligation for hand lamps and light fittings brought into circulation
from 13th August 2006 on at our charge (receipt and disposal).
The disposal costs are borne by us, the costs of delivery to the collection
points are to be borne by the customer.
Fluorescent tubes:
Fluorescent tubes can also be returned free of charge from 24th March
2006 on. We are directly charged for the disposal costs by the fluorescent
tube manufacturer. Our products, in return, are directly recalculated
with these costs. For you this means that starting from 1st April 2006
there will be a surcharge/fluorescent tube for some hand lamps
or light fittings. The costs for the delivery to the collection points
are to be borne by the customer.
The german lamp industry and their partner are establishing a network
of collection points at present. Further details can be obtained under
