From now on all connecting cables for hand lamps are to be made out of rubber.

New regulations regarding the hand lamp sector.

DIN standard EN 60598-2-8 (VDE 0711-2-8) specifies :
8.10.2 Flexible connecting cable have to fulfil at least the standard of IEC 60245. Flexible connecting cable must be coated by Polychloropren. The nominal cross section of the conductors is not allowed to be thinner than
- 0,75 mm² for common hand lamps
- 1 mm² for other hand lamps

As manufacturer of professional lamps we attach special importance to offer you only products fulfilling every aspect of the legal requirements.

Therefore we change with immediate effect from a connecting cable of PVC to a connecting cable of Polychloropren (rubber) for our bestsellers Allround 2K (ref. no. 170820) and Mini-Lux (ref. no. 100420). All the other hand lamps of our production have been equipped with high-quality rubber cable since years.

General handling is improved and the lamps will benefit from a superior long-life cycle.

Rubber connecting cables do not become inelastic, even not in case of low temperatures. They are considerably more resistant to constant mechanical loads as they are much more robust than PVC cables.

Different fields of application do not only pose a challenge to the industrial light itself but also to the type of fixation. For this reason we have taken your suggestions into consideration in order to expand our product range by three high-quality holders.

The way of fixation of the holders is compatible with many other holders on the market. Therefore, the installation of Rohrlux industrial lights into already existing installations is now possible without any problem at all. And without amendments on your machinery.

The holders are made out of galvanized steel and are equipped with a rubber protection ring. Therefore, the protection tubes do not get scratched and possible vibrations are being absorbed. This also increases the life cycle. The installation is quick and safe.

REACh stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. It is about an EU chemical regulation which came into effect on 1th June 2007. Being an EU regulation, REACh is similarly and directly in effect in all member states. By REACh the previous chemical law is basically harmonized and simplified.

The REACh system is based on the policy of individual responsibility. Based on the principle of "no data, no market" only chemical substances which have been registered before are allowed in the area of application of this regulation. Every manufacturer or importer, whose chemical substances fall into this category, has to have an own registration number for them.
